Welcome to the Grand Memories website!

Here you will find a collection of fascinating Grand Theatre show information, memorabilia and memories from the Grand Theatre’s beginnings in 1894 to the present day.

Why not see what show was playing on the day you were born? Perhaps you remember your first visit to the Grand… look up the year and take a trip down memory lane! Watch videos and listen to audio memories of past patrons, performers and stars. You can even leave your own memory to share with us!

To get the most out of Grand Memories, you can browse our archives in the following ways:

 * The Memory Of The Day box above will display a randomly selected entry from our archives.

* You can use the Search box to the right to look for something specific, e.g. productions, performers, crew or events.

* The Listen and Read buttons to the left will bring up lists of  audio and video files to watch and listen to, as well as written articles of historical interest.

* Whilst looking in an archive entry you will be able to click on the Tags at the bottom of each page to bring up a list of related files that might be of interest to you.

The Grand Memories website has been over 12 months in the making, thanks to the vast wealth of historical information, archive materials and memories collected during well over 1000 years of the Grand’s existence!

Special thanks to Tony Pugh, General Manager at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, who has continuously collected and updated our archives, this fantastic resource would not have been possible without you!

Many thanks also to Carl Phillips for uploading the thousands of shows, images and memories we are now able to share with the general public.
