Employed at the Grand Theatre ----------------------------- My g.grandfather was employed at the theatre in the 1900's as a set dresser(I have his notebook from 1901) My grandfather worked there as a stage carpenter during the 1910's,20's & 30's My father worked there as a carpenter and stagehand (full and then later part time) during the 1940's,50's & 60's (Also appearing on stage in some productions in minor roles) I also worked there on occasions as a general worker during the 1960's. Ironically my daughter (aged 5) was picked to appear on stage in 1985 with Little & Large in panto. So 5 generations of my family have walked on the stage at the Grand!
