HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED AT WOLVERHAMPTON GRAND THEATRE?
6 Years 10 Months
.
WHAT JOBS HAVE YOU DONE AND HOW LONG DID YOU DO EACH ONE?
Maitenance
.
DID YOU HAVE ANY MEMORIES OF THE THEATRE PRIOR TO WORKING HERE?
Visited before and thought what a nice historic building.
.
WHAT ARE YOUR FONDEST MEMORIES OF WORKING HERE?
Nice staff. I have enjoyed working with younger people and appreciate how they have been helpful to me and made me feel "one of them" though I am much older.
.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE SHOW THAT YOU HAVE SEEN HERE/WORKED ON?
I do not get so involved with the shows. I find pantomime season fun as I meet most of the characters during that period. Especially enjoyed it when Su Pollard was here - what a character!
.
HAVE YOU MET ANYONE FAMOUS HERE? WHAT ARE YOUR MEMORIES OF THAT?
Obviously met some of the actors prior to the performances, and sport personalities such as Steve Bull. Nice as a Wolves fan.
One memory is of talking to Tessa Peake Jones (Raquel from Only Fools and Horses) at stage door when a delivery man came in. He looked at her and said, "I know you but can't think where from." She then started singing the famous clip from the comedy Cwying. The post man then shouted, "It's Raquel, Del Boy's wife. Nice to meet you, how's Del?" Made all present laugh.
.
ANY PARANORMAL EXPERIENCES WHILST WORKING HERE?
Water on the floor in the box office. Where from?
.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST CHANGE FROM WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED WORKING HERE TO NOW, WHEN YOU'RE LEAVING?
Not a lot changed though obviously the Covid outbreak caused a lot of staff changes.
.
ANY PARTING WORDS TO THE THEATRE/VISITING COMPANIES/YOUR COLLEAGUES/OUR AUDIENCES?
To my colleagues I say a big thank you for everything. I have genuinely enjoyed my time here and spent most of my time with a smile on my face. I will miss you.
.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?
Thank you. I leave the theatre with nice memories. A great place to work but it is now time to retire, relax and spend more time with my family.
