Celebrating 80 years of popular musical theatre productions in the West Midlands, South Staffs Musical Theatre Company are proud to present their latest production, 9 to 5 THE MUSICAL, featuring original numbers from Dolly Parton’s Oscar, Tony and Grammy Award nominated score, including Backwoods Barbie, Shine Like the Sun and of course the best-loved smash hit, 9 to 5.
Pushed to boiling point by the antics of the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with him. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy - giving Franklyn Hart the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover and completely take control of the company that had always kept them down.
